Green Translations’ Certifications

At Green Translations, quality is not compromised, which is clearly evident when you learn about our certifications. Our relentless emphasis and efforts on quality have helped us earn the recognition of national and international institutions in the translation industry that helps maintain service standards. The quality standards at Green Translations exceed the protocols you must meet to earn accreditation from institutions worldwide.

American Translators Association Member (ATA)

ATA’s certification program administers tests identifying professional translation skills in specific language pairs. ATA certification is the most recognized and respected credential in the translation industry. Winning ATA credentials allows a translation service to prove that they meet professional standards.

Once you have the ATA certification, you are officially a certified translator who can provide precise and reliable translations. Translators have to maintain this certification by earning education points. ATA offers this certification for over 30 language pairs, and English is one of the languages in each pair.

Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)

The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (RID) is an accredited national organization for sign language interpreters. They want to establish a national standard of excellence for sign language users and speakers. The interpreter must complete several tests and provide documentation of their education and experience to become RID certified.

HIPAA Compliant

HIPAA is an act the government passed in 1996, updated in 2009 with the HITECH act. These provided rules for the security and privacy of protected health information. Protected health information comes with an acronym PHI, and this is information that can link directly to the individual.

Translation services come into contact with PHI data, especially for people with disabilities. For this reason, our compliance with HIPAA makes us a responsible entity that safeguards and protects the information of our clients.

Los Angeles County Consumer & Business Affairs

The Los Angeles Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) is a local protection agency for business owners in Los Angeles. This agency in Los Angeles County aims to make businesses and consumers aware of their rights.

Having this accreditation means that your business understands the contract between a consumer and business and acts responsibly. This also shows that our business practices comply with the Los Angeles state regulations and stay accustomed to ethical standards.

Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Certification

SBE is a certification for diversity at the corporate level given by regional or state governments. This initiative aims to boost the local business community’s business development and employment availability by expanding contracting options for district clients.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certified

The DBE program’s primary goal is to give economically and socially marginalized people who own and manage small companies’ fair chances to qualify for federally sponsored contracts. It also attempts to provide small company owners with equal national procurement opportunities.

Community Business Enterprise (CBE) Certification

The Community Company Enterprise (CBE) initiative honors and promotes businesspersons who are people of color, women, veterans with disabilities, or from underprivileged backgrounds to submit bids for public and private sector procurement programs.
